CESBCY is a member funded and a volunteer organization. They work to provide the evaluation community in British Columbia and the Yukon with learning opportunities, networking and resources. This group is open to individuals involved or interested in research, methodology, and statistics in the social sciences. The original idea of the group was to discuss problems and challenges in research, how to set up a study, research designs, how to analyze your data, et cetera.
Disciplines include areas such as psychology, education, sociology, political science, migration studies, economics, econometrics, anthropology, history, criminology, law, and linguistics. Discussion topics include areas such a qualitative methods, quantitative methods, software like SPSS, STATA, R, and ATLAS.ti, statistical advice, ideas for research, and research projects.
